WHY NO LESS THAN 8 HOURS?
I truly want to offer my couples the best experience, especially on their wedding day. I believe that an 8 hour package is the minimum amount of time needed to capture the story of a wedding day and its important moments.
Your wedding is a celebration of the two of you. You're both investing a lot of yourselves and your time into it, and I wouldn't want to miss any aspect of it.
DO YOU SHOOT ON HOLDIAYS?
Depending on the holiday and our schedule, we may have availability! Additional fees would need to be discussed during booking.
WHAT IF WE DON'T WANT AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
Engagement sessions are very helpful during the wedding process and they aren't a just way to bump up package prices. They give us a chance to meet before the wedding and get to know each other. It lets you both feel more comfortable in front of the camera. It helps me figure out what poses work best for you. This way, it feels like a friend is showing up on your wedding day, and not someone you're meeting for the first time that knows practically nothing about you. Wedding photography is an investment. To get the most out of it, it's best to invest your time as well.
Engagement sessions are essential in the end result of a wedding gallery. For this reason, I wouldn't be able to adjust the package pricing if you both decide that you aren't down for the e-sesh. You may not get as many images from your wedding day since we would be working together for the first time. For that reason, I would recommend adding an additional hour of coverage to your wedding package for more portrait time.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL BE DELIVERED?
A good rule of thumb is to expect to receive about 100 images per hour from your photographer. If you have 8 hours of coverage, you can expect to receive at least 800 images, but I tend to deliver much, much more!
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
You can expect to scroll through the full online gallery of hi-resolution professionally edited images within 90 days of your wedding.
DO YOU RETOUCH ALL OF OUR IMAGES?
All of the images that you receive will be professionally edited by myself for my light and airy signature style. This includes color, contrast, white balance, straightening, etc. If there is something you would like removed on a few images like a stain or skin retouching, I would be happy to send them to my retoucher at their current rate.
CAN WE GET SOME OF OUR FINAL IMAGES RE-EDITED?
Part of the reason people spend so much time choosing a photographer is because they want to be happy with their work! When you choose me, you have seen my images and how I edit them. Hiring me means that you enjoy my style and are aware of the way I photograph and edit. If there are a few images that you would like re-edited, I would be happy to re-edit them for an additional rate.
CAN WE GET THE
ORIGINAL/RAW IMAGES?
Working together during your shoot is only part of the magic! The other part of it happens during the editing process. I only want to send my couples images that I am super proud of which includes being edited to my style. For that reason, sending over the RAW files or images before I edit them is not a service that I offer.
DO YOU USE BACKUP GEAR?
My second photographer and I always photograph with two cameras. This allows us to use different focal lengths to create a much more diverse final gallery. It's also is a safety net of making sure that we both still have a working camera if one decides to poop out! Each camera shoots to two memory cards to ensure there are two copies of every image that is taken. I'm a big proponent of, "better safe than sorry!"
IS A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER NECESSARY?
Since I'd love to but unfortunately can't be in two places at once, a second photographer is clutch on a wedding day! I believe that having one is like a security blanket for your images. They are great way to get additional images, different angles, and to ensure the moments get captured in case I have to change a lens, have any equipment malfunction, or have to take a break to use the restroom or get a drink of water. A second photographer is also necessary to capture those getting ready images and details in the suite where your babe is getting ready while I am in the suite with you to tell both sides of the story.
IS AN ASSISTANT REALLY NECESSARY?
Assistants are such an essentail part of the wedding day! They are there to help my second photographer and I stick to the timeline, as well as to make sure we don't miss any key details that are important to you both. They help capture candid moments during prep time when I photograph your details. They also stay to cover cocktail hour if you decide to have your portraits after your ceremony instead of during a first look. They do some shooting which can add more beautiful images to your final gallery. I believe having a team of three is such a solid way to go. Your day is SO important and you've been putting so much work into planning it. I wouldn't want to take any risks not being able to document it in its entirety.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
I absolutely love the candid, genuine moments. The ones where you are certain you aren't being watched. The messy tears streaming down people's faces while they watch a couples' first dance. When someone's TEARING IT UP on the dance floor. I live for authentic, vivid, and raw moments.
IS YOUR APPROACH TO "TAKE CHARGE" OR "HANG BACK?"
Y-E-S. I photograph weddings, so to some degree, I have to take charge. I help create a timeline and organize a family shot list if you both want those classic family portraits. I can organize the wedding party for those key images. But I am letting you both blossom on your day. I will not dictate how you have your first kiss, because that's one of YOUR moments, and I'm there to photograph it. I will let you two KILL it during your first dance, and be there to capture it. I am there FOR you, not there for me. It's not one of "my" weddings, but you're one of my couples, and I want to highlight your story the truest way possible.
HOW DO I KNOW IF YOU ARE THE RIGHT PHOTOGRAPHER FOR ME?
You should be so beyond excited about working with the person that you choose to photograph your wedding! I know that making this decision is a big commitment and not a casual one. I love meeting up with couples before we finalize the booking process to make sure we are all on the same page and jive well together! I won't be a ghost during the process. DO I NEED VIDEOGRAPHY FOR
MY WEDDING?
My answer? Yes. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what's a video worth? I did videography casually for a few years just for fun, and honestly to me, I always felt it was the most impactful means of communicating the feeling behind a day. Now that I do wedding videography as a business, my feeling towards video is the same. I honestly believe it's the best way to capture a day.
DO YOU PROVIDE DRONE FOOTAGE?
I currently do not offer drone services.
DO YOU PROVIDE RAW FOOTAGE?
RAW footage can be purchased for an additional fee. At a typical wedding, I film approximately 4-5 hours worth of footage. My style is to edit together fun, yet elegant films for the two of you. I don't provide a documentary style of videography that includes entire ceremonies or complete speeches. I find hour long ceremonies break the flow of your wedding film. With all this beautiful cinematic footage edited together in a concise modern style, dropping a complete wedding ceremony in the middle of your film is a bit jarring.
HOW MANY HOURS OF VIDEO COVERAGE DO I NEED?
This question is best answered by considering what you want your final video to contain. Do you want Bride Prep? Groom Prep? Card Readings? First Look? Ceremony? Cocktail hour? First Dances? Toasts? Cake cutting? Sparkler Send-off? All inclusive days take time to film. Most couples book 8 hours, and many consider 10 hours as well. To make sure you capture everything you want in your wedding video, consider booking more hours.
DO YOU HAVE A SECOND SHOOTER?
Part of the way I can offer such a great deal on video coverage is that I am doing everything I can by myself. However, if you're definitely interested in not missing any aspect of your day, a second shooter is available for an additional rate.
DO YOU OFFER LIVE STREAMING?
I love to call myself a jack of all trades. But this would simply be too much for me to manage. At this time, I do not offer any live streaming services.
WHAT MUSIC DO YOU PICK?
All of the music I use is legally licensed. This means that I pay for the usage rights, which is part of the cost of creating wedding films. I don't allow couples to pick their own music, because it's not legal for me to utilize copyrighted songs that I don't pay for. For example, I wouldn't be able to use a Rihanna song in your wedding video because the costs to license her music is astronomical!
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes, we're both insured!
CAN I GIVE INPUT ON THE MUSIC YOU SELECT FOR OUR VIDEO?
While I do maintain creative control, I would actually prefer your input! Would you like some upbeat energetic songs? Slow romantic tunes? A mixture of both? Do you like one of the songs you've heard in a video you saw me make? Let me know!
WHEN DO I GET MY WEDDING VIDEO?
After your wedding has happened, I will begin working on your video! I'm able to deliver the highlight and wedding film within 30 days from your day.
HOW DO YOU PROVIDE ME WITH MY WEDDING FILM?
Methods available include a direct download link and a spot in your photo gallery!
CAN I POST MY VIDEOS UP ONLINE?
Absolutely! I do require my couples to tag me and/or credit me as the creator of the video. I love sharing the videos I've made online which includes Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, my website, etc. In the same way, feel free to post the videos I've made for you to share with your loved ones!
