Their Day: Eagle Oaks Country Club & Golf Course Wedding
Kim and Kevin's wedding at Eagle Oaks was filled with so much elegance; Kim's amazing long flowing gown, the vintage car they drove away in after their ceremony, and a sparkler reception entrance! There was so much emotion from them and their families during the day. Lots of happy tears are a beautiful reminder of why capturing weddings is so precious to me. I can't wait to show you all about their amazing day, but first, more about their love story!
Their Love
Kim and Kevin's families had known each other for a while. Their parents kept trying to set them up as a couple, but they weren't into being set up. After a few years they both ended up on the same dating app and connected through there!
Kim loves that they're always able to work things out; she can't stay mad at him! Kevin loves that she can cook him an amazing meal. He also calls her the "chunckette" to his "chunk." I was so happy to see the card Kevin wrote for her on their wedding day was addressed to "Kim/chunk/loaf!" Their favorite part of being together is that they always have fun! They're looking forward to starting their family with some little "chunks," in the future. 🥰
I remember the first time I heard Kim call Kevin chunk which was at their engagement session. I was so shocked because it seemed like an unusual word to say to your love! But now I absolutely adore it and how freakin' CUTE they are! You can check out their engagement session at Sandy Hook here!
The Proposal
Kim went over to Kevin's place with her packed bags for stay for the weekend. When she opened the door, she saw Kev standing down the hallway. There were candles and rose petals lining the length of the hallway. Kevin had an illuminated sign that said "Marry Me" and was surrounded by candles as well. He had the song, "Grow Old With Me" by Florida Georgia Line playing in the background. 😭 Cue the tears! Kim said she cried like a BABY! Kevin proposed with a ring that has the words "GROW OLD WITH ME" engraved on the inside. Kim's sister Lauren was there taking video of the proposal after she helped him plan it! How amazingly perfect is this story?!!?!?!?!?
Kim & Kevin
I'm so excited your wedding day finally arrived! It felt like I had been waiting forever since Kim sent me a photo Lauren snapped of her when she found her dress! I love watching you two laugh together and have fun; it reminds us why every second of planning was totally worth it! I will never forget how tender and emotional you both got while reading your cards! I am also absolutely obsessed with the handmade vase favors and I'm so thankful you guys let me have two! Wishing you guys nothing but the best! Love you! xoxo
